I havnt been this busy since .... ever! Well, the last time I was this busy was when I was preparing for AP Biology (YES I got a 5 on that :D) Wake up every morning at 6:30 or 7 or so. Check facebook on whats up the previous night. Do the morning routine and I'm off to my internship. Thanks god the place is at Silom. Love the place. Lots of food. Colleagues keep educating me every single day. Learning heck lots of new stuff. I cant believe I can get this much from being an intern. No paperwork shit. No coffee running. Pure experience. Do whatever I want. Two of the guys had masters in finance. Genius they are. Another one a graduate from harvard, worked at Goldman for 5 years in Japan, now a CEO of a private equity firm called evolution, listed in the stock exchange. Days after days I keep listening to whatever they talk about. Little by little i absorb all the financial terms I never heard before. I started to get bit by bit, asking when appropriate and hopefully this will enhance my learning experience when I'm back to UK.
Work ends at 5 or 5:30 or 6 or 3:30 it's all up to me lol. After which is a BTS ride to Siam and a date/dinner with her :) I'll be home by 9 or so and dead tired. I still have to read the math for the fundamental course, stocks book to educate myself how to pick good stocks (Yes! I finally own a port!), CFA stuff to be taken in December.
And all these graduations taking place every other week. I went to chula that I knew all the buildings already. Took heck lots of pics. What fun.
Then I need to set aside time to go out with my family and her so that my precious time left in bkk is not wastefully spent sleeping. Like i said, havnt been this busy since a long long while.
Better things yet. LSE rejected me for the msc financial math course (probably because i didnt have the right degree) but accepted my second choice offer which is msc finance. dammit. honestly if this choice comes up abit earlier i might go for it. now, with the internship thing going everyday i feel like doing this kinda job would be much more fun than the analysing company's equity and those stuffs. u can probably say i love math lol. didnt take 10 math modules for nothing did i.
i'll be flying back to UK to my grad ceremony next week! kind of a waste of money but i did this just to let my dad feels like i'm graduated :D
looking forward to every single day for the rest of this summer!

Life's good
Whether it's coincidental or the fortune teller was good. He said my life's getting dramatically better starting on April. Well, I cant truly say it did. But loads of stuffs are definitely making me feel happy at the moment. Starting off with the easter break. Best one ever!
Spain was somewhat hotter than expected. Seville was definitely overrated. The only reason I would wanna get back there is to go to Granada and see the Moorish castle. Nothing much there. We got to familiarize ourselves with Spanish culture and how ppl there tend to have dinner at 8 or 9 -_-" Yea, we went to one restaurant and found out that at 11pm ppl were still coming in.
Madrid was better. Besides lots of place to chill out and drink, I dont think there're much to Madrid either. I'm not a fan of palace so it was pretty much the same as Versailles or in Schonbrun in Vienna in my opinion lol. It was a must see anyhow.
Barcelona, on the other hand, was totally awesome. This city by far is the city (in europe) I think most closely resembles Bangkok in many ways. From the lively night lives. Ppl still out there at 11pm. This city even has its own seaside beach; abundant seafood. best FC in the world. Gaudi was a must. went to see the temple and his museum. Price a bit too steep but I can cope with that given that what I saw was literally another worldly. Wish we had another day or two there.
Lisbon. I read in the guidebook and it said this city is the "immediately likable European capital" and now i know why. Tiled walking street everywhere. Washed out white colored building. Love it. Too bad we didnt have enough time to go to Sintra, the nearby city. This city along with Porto will definitely be on my to go list.
Flight back to Liverpool just to buy another train ticket back to Nott because what we booked was two hours later -_-" spent another 28 pounds each or so. Caught a bus next morning to heathrow to catch a flight to Vienna. Slept over for a night and took a 35 euro taxi to the airport (shit, i got ripped off) and saw my family!!!
It was a moment where I couldnt describe in words. I didnt know what to expect. Others go back to Thailand to see their family but mine comes to Europe to travel together with me :D
Vienna was a fine fine city, just like any German city, very tidy and structured. I dont know if theres anything else to see in Budapest besides the Blue Danube. But the view was seriously magnificent. Bratislava is a different communist feel type of city. Not much there. Revisited Prague. Pretty much a same difference. Spring gave this city a totally different touch. Attracted heck lots of tourists as well. And finally the city I missed last time, Cesky Krumlov. It's a nice lovely town where I would wanna come again just to stroll around for an hour and cover the whole town by foot already. Karlovy Vary was a classic one as well.
Flight back to London. I found out that by being alone, it took only an hour and a bit to get out of the plane - through the immgration - get to heathrow express - paddington - tube to st pancras. Only an hour and a bit !!! First i thought i was going to miss the 11:30 train back to Notts. Obviously I had half an hour to wait after all the hurry I made.
Oh, did I mention I got accepted into Warwick Uni yet? Currently still waiting for LSE result but I'm now inclined to go to Warwick for Msc Financial math. very inclined to. Gonna be doing intern this summer as well. After 4 years of friendship with Ice, I just knew his mom was a vice ceo of a brokerage firm. Well, at least that was in time to get me in to do the intern this summer haha. I'll need to do math revision before the term starts as well. They're firing students who cant pass their math refresher exam on the first week ><" Planning to study for CFA level 1 too, probably in December. Hopefully in December. It's gonna be heck of a summer.
About the assignments and exams, I seriously dont care about engineering anymore whatsoever. No reason to know all about the ICs and the electronic behind a circuit so the coursework I just sent was a super paraphase copy 5555. From my seniors, that is. I now have my mind set only to get everything pass 70% and that will be it for my undergrad study :D:D
gonna be hard from now on! ganbarimasu!!
PS dear future me: If i ever have a child studying in UK, tell him/her to attend a samaggi game ^____^

Just like old times
So went the time as swift as ever.
New year turned into Songkran.
Just like old times, my decision changed with every passing month -_-"
I can still rmb when in highschool selecting what to study
ending up in TEP just because I thought I would have some friends
The US is just not where I wanna go anymore ....
I was more or less had a high expectation that I couldve gone into Columbia Uni
and at least spent a good time in NYC
Life is not always as you wished it is
I got rejected from Columbia :(
Still on the waiting list for Cornell, tho
but seriously? 6 hrs from NYC !!
I'm not sure if this is considered far in the US
but this sure it like London-Edinburgh or bkk-chiangmai !!
If I were to go there (if they even accept me lol),
I'd probably end up with a year in the campus
and mayb a day at the Niangara (an hour or so away lol)
Coming to the point
I guess it's so me again to make a decision based on my peers
Lots of old friends from EIS coming up to UK to do MSc
Cant help but think of the good times I'll be having when them next year lol
I wonder if I'm making the right choice~~
Well, as of current,
I got an offer from Cass business school in MSc Quantitative Finance
Still waiting for Warwick in MSc Financial math
and crossing my every finger for LSE financial math as well
My goal being somewhere in the financial industry
I am getting there one way or the other
Fun stuff!
in 2 days i'll be leaving for 2 weeks holiday !!
A week getting lost figuring out which restaurant to go into again
with friends in Seville, Madrid, Barca, Lisbon
then back to Liverpool, taking the train back to Nott
just to take the coach in the morning to Heathrow -_-"
another week of holiday with FAMILY !
I'll be flying to Vienna (YAY!) thought I'd never had any1 to go with alrdy lol
meet my family there and go with the tour
no more getting lost, figuring out how/where to go lol
it'll b vienna-budapest-bratislava-prague(again)-krumlov :D:D:D-and back to vienna
hav so many things to catch up with my sis
And the inevitable stuff!
2 courseworks a business planning project, and thesis writing
await after a week by the time I come back
It's gonna be one hell of a roller coaster ride this coming months

Nearing the end of the journey
This blog's totally a personal revelation about studying. It's supposed to be read by future me to check back what I'm thinking now. This may be a long and winding article going nowhere lol
Four years ago around this time I still couldnt decide where to study, what to study, heck, my dad even said just go abroad for the undergrad study. Me being ever so afraid of overwhelming change, I decided TEP is the way. It was one of the few courses offering a chance to go study in the UK with friends from Thailand. I cant possibly imagine what my life would be if I chose to do SWU's medical program lol. Me being a doctor, ahahahha.
Right now, one more semester left to go and I'll reach the destination. It's different from what I expected by four years ago really.
Then: I would probably be working well in an industry well paid abroad. Work work work, a few years and I'll hopefully be able to do some business of my own.
Reality kicks in, now I can never think of what I would be doing after that few years of work. Postgrad study's the only way through.
The point is that what's the purpose of this study I'm going through after all. Is there anything I can measure from my achievement other than the grades? Full four solid years and it seems I'm still the same me from highschool, doing studies on my own, reading just before exam. Heck, my first two years were even a stay still or backward. Relying on highschool knowledge to waste time in the dorm and go to exam -_-" What on earth could possibly be a better way to waste a year eh? Somehow, I still havnt seemed to face that "hardship" and "difficulty" of the "engineering school" everyone told yet. Is it a fluke I happened to have chosen an easy course or I'm destined for a harder one, I truly have no idea.
Well, so here it is what I think I received from college besides "Grades"
First two years
- how to drive long distance (60km, yea I do consider that long distance lol)
- how to make friendship by helping them (with the exam, IN the exam rather) (lol yea u know what i'm talking about)
- how to rely on your own given only the lecture note and a textbook. (by far the most useful skill in college. Think again I think I got this skill in highschool already. Well let's say the skill got sharpened)
- how to live semi-outside of your family (at least 4 of 7 days each studying week)
- buildup level of tolerance from long straight hours of gaming everyday
- inspiration to travel (thank you for that ^^)
I cant really think of anything else right now. No wonder at all why my dad kept telling me to go do something. Totally clear right now why. Two years and I barely do anything but going to exams.
Here's things I got from the last two years. What i've got in the UK, you can say
- how to live on your own. Totally on my own. (except the job part)
- photography skill
- how to rely on your friends when things go bad. Another crucial thing. I cant possibly do everything on my own.
- another level of perspective of life regarding future, career
- a different perspective of Thailand
- a perspective of different countries I've travelled to.
- how to plan trips (not that good yet but I can say it's improving each time I travel)
- sports skill regained
- leadership skill, working in a team (used to have them in highschool, lost these in the first 2 years -_-")
- cooking skill :D
- new people to meet
- working with people on a bigger scale
This list goes on. Obviously it's more constructive than the first two years considerably. Right now I view the world as worth exploring everywhere as opposed to used to thinking that I'd rather just stay where I'm good. It's probably been the 2 years I learned new stuffs ever since ... umm... highschool ahaha.
Coming to the conclusion, I would like to make a new year resolution for this year. After so many guesses of what my life would be like. This year 2011, I will, by the end of the year, have a defined path I can truly be directed upon.
I'm putting so much hope on you now, America. Please do not fail me again.

Merry Christmas!!
christmas is upon the town and this year is probably the best one in my entire life
not that i received gifts from santa or anything, well, u can say i kinda did.
gifts of friendship u can say
i met 3 friends who i havnt seen since ive been to the uk
spent an amazing 5 days together on a trip to berlin dresden prague
i have to say that its exceeding my expectation by a whole lot
christmas time itself is such a beauty
living it with teenage memory friend is a much more
talking about the city, berlin is a city u cannot truly understand without knowing some history
through two world wars and the cold war, the german ppl totally amazed me how they
thrive through such hardship emerging now as one of the world's leader
unlike us thai ppl who probably advanced no further than a few steps since rama v reign
enuf political stuff lol
christmas market!!
if u think the one in birmingham is beautiful, germany's will take u literally to another level of beauty
from the decorative stalls, the ppl that livens up the atmosphere, the better hot wine XD
im so definitely recommmending ppl coming to germany to come during christmas period now
except for munich of course where octoberfest is THE time
moving on to prague...
strolling on the streets will keep ur head up looking at the magnificence of bohemian architecture
i totally have no idea how the architect of the buildings in this city come up with an idea
of unique exterrior look from building to building. my camera is probably filled with hundred
or so of pictures with just building in it. too bad i didnt plan the trip better otherwise i could
be off to another city where my friend regard it as having the most beautiful castle
munich will be revisited due to the limited i had there
again ... as long as i stil havnt been to munich during octoberfest
this city will be in my to-go list always
taking the train from munich to innsbruck through the alps
again ... one of the best scenery ive ever witnessed that time
only to be bested by the scenery from the top of alps itself overlooking the town of innsbruck
i was skiing there for a day
tripping and falling but never afraid of falling agaon and again
because once i fall, i would b lying down looking upon the best view again and again
lastly, i'll have to say thanks to alice, our class president for inspiring me to travel
the trip reminds me so much of how we used to travel n have fun together in senior excursion
pix to b shown later
merry christmas and happy new year :D

Dear Winter
Time's flying so fast sometimes I forgot I'm already 22 years old -_-" What I just did the past month? Lots of stuff. We had a concert/party in Nott last week. Great to feel back in highschool practicing band with friends and stuff. Didnt do this for sooo long. Below is just a sample. For more go to my youtube's channel. We played 20 smthn songs. I played keyboard of course, about 10 songs.
My final year project is going well. I'm experimenting on interference of signal on cable. Equipment looks intimidating for me to use but interesting as well. I have a whole chamber (4 by 4 by 3 meters size) as experimental chamber. I just need to get some signal outta that cable and figure out why the graph looks the way it does.
Other stuffs are okay. Can't believe it's two weeks til semester break already. Vacation time! Shit, after this, it's the last semester of my undergrad life..... nooooo!!
Nott just snowed last night. Earliest snow in 20 years or smthn. Wishing on the snow that next year this time around I'll be shopping in New York on black Friday ^^ Well, at least be in New York too busy to be shopping. Dam, I just cant think of if I cant get into the US what am I gonna do.

Usual update
Well, well. Alton tower was great. The rides were great. Thrills just to see it. Great to be on it. Dizzy after got down from it. Fun experience overall. Suggested anyone going there to buy a fast track for scream. Would save you lots of time.
Liverpool was soso. Nothing much cuz i didnt plan where to go ahaha. Main thing of the trip probably is the Anfield stadium. It was smaller than I thought, at least from the imagination I have from watching the premiere league. It was fun anyway. Saw the stadium, the room where players would gather, room where the press conference is held. They were all smaller than I thought ahahaha.
Going on to blackpool. The city was seaside, but I never expected it to be kinda like Pattaya, which it kinda did. But English city is anyhow English. Shops and stores started closing down at 10pm. By 11, only the pub and clubs were left. The lights were good to see even though we didnt take the tram tour.
And for the unexpected event this time around. Our house got robbed for the first time.
This is how it happened.
